ScriptEd Hackathon

We are excitedly preparing for our Spring Student Hackathon!

On Saturday May 17, our students will showcase their coding skills at an all day Hackathon, sponsored by General Assembly, Twilio, HP Fortify, and Teach for America.IMG_9909

Our students have learned the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Javascript, and will use their knowledge to build projects with the help of volunteers. At the end of the day we’ll give awards for the best project. We hope you can join us! RSVP to volunteer and learn more about the event here.

This summer, our students will be immersed in the tech industry in full time paid technical internships at companies that include American Express, ThoughtWorks, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Ghostery, and more.

ScriptEd brings computer programming education to students in under resourced high schools and strives to change students’ trajectories by opening up opportunities in the tech industry that would otherwise be unavailable. Currently, our volunteers are tutoring approximately 100 students across New York City.
